US vs UK Covers

Book covers change all the time and in different countries there are different covers for the novels that we know and love here in America. I wanted to pick between US and UK covers and choose which one I like more.

Paper Towns by John Green: I am not against the American cover but I prefer the UK cover because I think it tells the story better.

The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight by Jennifer E. Smith: Again I would pick the UK cover since it is more bright and colorful.

Divergent by Veronica Roth: I am very thorn since I like the US cover a lot but I am a big quote fan so I am going to have to go with the UK version. I just think it paints a better picture of the story.

Harry Potter and the Sorcerers/Philosophers Stone by J.K. Rowling: In this case, I would go with the US version. Although, I like the cover of the UK version it is too animated looking for me. I will not that I like the newer USA covers better than the original.

Delirium by Lauren Oliver: First, I want to note that I know that this isn’t the original US cover but it is newest one and I just love it. The UK cover is pretty but the new US version steals my heart.

There are 5 US vs UK Cover let me know which one you would choose in the comments below.

To Be Completed | Reading List

I love reading but there are times when I can’t bring myself to finish a certain book or book series. Not because I don’t like plot or writing but simply because I can’t get in the right mood to pick the book up again.

My Life Next Door by Huntley Fitzpatrick: I started this book probably a year ago and I can’t seem to finish it. I always try to pick it back up but I just can’t get involved in the story. I don’t know if it’s the writing or story because I’m having a hard time wanting to read it.

Delirium Series (Pandemonium and Requiem) by Lauren Oliver: I think this series is very underrated and doesn’t get the hype it deserves. I listened to the audiobook of Delirium during a time when I was walking a lot but since I don’t do as much walking it’s hard for me to find the time to listen to an audiobook. I really would love to get back into this world because I find it very fascinating.

The Amber Spyglass (His Dark Materials #3) by Philip Pullman: This is the third and finial novel in the His Dark Materials trilogy or The Golden Compass trilogy as it is better known. The reason I haven’t picked this book up is that it is long. I remember liking the first two novels a lot but with the newer more inventive books series coming out these books have just kind of fell by the wayside. I will most likely finish off the series but probably not any time soon.

Heist Society (Uncommon Criminals and Perfect Scoundrels) by Ally Carter: I love my contemporary books and these books are very easy middle grade reads. I really need to read the last to books in the series since they are the type of books you can finish within a day or two. I actually forgot about this trilogy which might just be why I haven’t completed it yet.

The Summer I Turned Pretty (It’s Not Summer without You and We’ll Always Have Summer by Jenny Han: Anyone who knows me knows I love Jenny Han! Her books are amazing but after reading the Summer I Turned Pretty I didn’t want to continue with the series because I couldn’t stand Belly; the main character in the books. However, I will not be picking these books up until June or July since that seems like the most appropriate time to read this series and I have heard some great things about these books.

Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver: There is probably no surprise that this is on the list since it has been the ghost of my tbr for the past, and now three months. I have transitioned from book to audiobook so I hope I can once and for all add it to my read pile over spring break.

There you have it the books on my to be completed list. There aren’t many which is kind of nice but I do hope to get to some of them this year.
